PA HUNTING LICENSES

ELK

In 2001, history was made as the first elk license in Pennsylvania was issued in a random drawing. Residents and non-residents could send a $10 non-refundable fee for the chance at one of the 30 elk licenses. Fifteen bull and fifteen cow licenses were issued. All Pennsylvania elk licenses are rare and valuable. Being the hunt of a lifetime, most license holders do not want to part with their license. I can hardly blame them. Most collectors have given up on the thought of even owning one. In 2002, 70 licenses were issued to lucky winners. 2003 was the highest license allotment at 100 and that was dropped to 40 licenses in 2004. I am always interested in acquiring PA elk licenses for this collection.
