PA HUNTING LICENSES

MUZZLELOADING

In 1974, the first muzzleloading season was established in Pennsylvania. By purchasing a muzzleloading license, the holder could hunt on any of the 37 designated state game lands. Eventually, this license entitled the hunter to muzzleload the entire state. After two years of paper licenses, in 1976, a muzzleloader stamp was created to be placed on the resident hunting license. This same style is still used today. NOTE: many of the 1974 and 1975 unissued licenses never made it to the Game Commission dumpster and can be easily found.

  • Issued 1974 $50
  • Unissued 1974 $10
  • Issued 1975 $30
  • Unissued 1975 $10
  • All other muzzleloader $5
